The Mountain View II cluster subdivision was developed as Seven Oaks in 1988 by Mountain
View Inc. It dedicated 5.59 acres of open space. This subdivision includes Running Brook
Road that provides access to the trail.

Red tail hawks have been seen in this area. These twenty-two inch birds of prey are
commonly found in open country and in the less dense woodlands. They make large hollow
nests of sticks, moss, and grass, high in the trees. They spend their winters in Central
America.
