These stairs extending in four flights and landings about sixty feet while rising about
twelve feet were completed by Drew Eakins of Troop 154 in October 2001. The concrete
blocks on which the timber stairs are built were installed by the Bridgewater Township
Public Works Department beginning on September 11, 2001. For those of us involved with the
construction, this project will always serve as a link to the events of that day and the
following month.
