Guidelines for Trail Use

GUIDELINES FOR TRAIL USE

1) Stay on the Trail. In order to protect nature for the users of the trail and the users of the trail from nature, it is important to stay on the trail. Bridges and boardwalks have been provided to protect streams and wetlands, and to make walking easier. You are less likely to attract ticks if you remain on the trail. Damage to wetland areas by unauthorized off-trail excursions may make it difficult for the Township to obtain future NJDEP permits for new trails.

2) No Littering. Take out everything you bring in.

3) Dawn to Dusk. The trail is open from dawn to dusk. There is no camping.

4) Respect Private Property and Privacy. In some areas, particularly near access points, the trail is close to private property and homes. Respect the privacy and property of these residents. Keep voices low and do not loiter. Do not park cars where it will be difficult to for residents to access driveways and mailboxes.

5) Ticks. Check your self, children, and dogs for ticks after using the trail.
