Pete's Small Bridges


Pete’s Small Bridges. Pete Stickle built three bridges. These two bridges are located fairly close together and one 26-foot bridge is located to the east. Their total length including the ramps is 98 feet, which is the most completed by one scout. Pete Stickle and Troop 88 completed them in November 1997.

Moss, of various species, is a primitive plant that spreads through spores. The glory days of ferns and mosses were in the Paleozoic, before dinosaurs and flowering plants.


Buttressed Tree Bases. Note the way the bases of many of the trees in this area flare out more than usual. This is often a sign of a high water table and soft ground.
