General Information: Bridgewater Veterans Memorial Park

On September 21, 1987, on the recommendation of the Director of Parks and Recreation, the Recreation and Park Board, the entire park system along the Middle Brook was renamed from "Middle Brook Properties Acquisition" to "Bridgewater Veterans Memorial Park". The resolution renaming this area includes the following, "This Park will be a symbol of the commitment towards the preservation of open space as the veterans have displayed towards the freedom of our country". (RESOLUTION 87-9-21-264)

Within this Park are the Chimney Rock Park and the Crim Fields as well as the Middle Brook Trail. Also interspersed within this Park are Somerset County owned lands, which include the reservoir area.
