*BAKED APPLES

Ingredients

4 tart green apples
1/2 cup brown sugar
4 tablespoosn usalted butter, softened
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Small handful chopped pecans
Small handful dried cranberries
Few sprinkles of water
Dash of cinnamon
Dash of nutmeg

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Fill bottom of baking dish with enough water to cover. Mix in the cornstarch, vanilla, pecans and dried cranberries.
Core the apples all the way through and peel a ring of skin from around each apple.
Mix the brown sugar and softened butter together and stuff each apple with the butter mixture.
Stand apples in baking dish and sprinke with water, cinnamon and nutmeg.
Bake, cover with foil, for 20 minutes. Uncover and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
