Mayor Flannery's Wellness Campaign Digital Cookbook

 

CHICK PEA SALAD

Ingredients

2 cups of canned or cooked garbanzo beans (chick peas)
1 cucumber diced
1 Bermuda (red) onion diced
fat free Italian dressing (to taste)

Preparation

Combine ingredients listed above. Add salt, pepper, and Italian dressing to taste.

You may also use fresh squeezed lemon juice in place of the Italian dressing.

Note: If possible use fresh cooked garbanzo beans rather than canned beans. The fresh beans use less salt, have no preservatives, and the texture/snap of the beans adds to the salad’s great taste.
